Lickable Wallpaper Installed In London Elevator - The Lickable Lift

OK – I’ll admit this stretches the bounds of food.  Technically it’s a cookie thing.  You can’t argue cookies.  No one can.  The installation was created by Mischief PR and McVitie’s - McVitie’s makes Jaffa Cakes and Jaffa Cookies.  Spend anytime watching British programming and someone will invariably prat on about Jaffa cakes and cookies.

Lickable Wallpaper has been installed in the elevator at Engine, a London-based communications company.  It remains to be explained exactly why they spec’d out lickable wallpaper in their lift.Lickable Wallpaper Installed In London Elevator - The Lickable Lift

The wrap on the elevator wall is cookie-flavored, as one might imagine.  It consists of 1,325 McVitie’s Jaffa Cookies.  You can also picture this being a nightmare of germs spread by awful mouth-breathing types that frequent elevators.  Relax.  There’s an elevator attendant who is tasked with replacing the cookies after they have been sampled.  I’m still trying to figure out how I feel about this.  It’s both appealing and quite revolting at the same time.  From a standpoint of….well…cookies, it’s pretty hard to argue.  Who doesn’t like cookies?  From a sanitation and awkward moment in the elevator standpoint, it’s a disaster.
