I try to eat oatmeal for breakfast when I can. By no means is this everyday; it takes a bit of time to cook and some days a bowl of cereal just makes more sense. Or cornbread with honey. Or a brownie. Not all days can be healthy. When I’m feeling like I might not want to contribute to an expanding waistline, this is a great, fairly quick breakfast (even quicker if you use instant oats).
Regular old plain oatmeal makes me think I’m Ebenezer Scrooge. I don’t like eating gruel. It sounds gross and is fairly depressing as a meal. Pumpkin Ginger Oatmeal has a much nicer ring to it, and this is a great time of year for it. Continue reading
